Decided to have a go at redoing my belly mower deck for the D-200. Purchased a complete working deck, but with a not so good shell, in a job lot of tractors and parts, along with a good shell. The complete deck was bent up a bit and had rusted through. So I started with redoing the support above the good deck. Wire brushed it and then sanded it on both sides. Then I sprayed on a coat of primer. Somewhere along I noticed that there was 2 of the spot welded nuts missing. So I go out and took a look at the support on the complete deck. Yep, it had all the nuts still on, but; the spindles have to be removed along with the idler support bar. No problem except one of the spindles had the nut welded on, and another had a broken housing. Oh well got out the grinder and cut the nut off. Ruined the shaft, but the good shell had one spindle still on, with a good shaft. So round two, redone the wire brushing and sanding, then sprayed two coats of primer on it. Also refinished the idler support bar and the quadrant. The job lot of parts also came with a good gauge wheel support and the two good carriage draft bars.

I have this redo almost complete, however this will be the last that I reply to the post as I have unsuccessfully attempted to add replies w/ pics but they fail to show up. It is much more of a complicated procedure to submit a thread w/ images on this forum than any other forum that I have used. Maybe it's just me, but if you want to view the redo you can P.M. me and I will refer you to the other sites that it is posted on. Sorry. P.S. Geno if you want to delete this thread feel free.

This the easiest forum on the planet to add pics too, take it from someone who has 4684 posts here and added over 30,000, and they all work lol. I took the time to send you an email reply yesterday as to what the problems may be, but the forum is not the problem...

Here's a 4 year old post in the help section, if there is anything easier to do than drag and drop anywhere in the world I would sure love to see it. How to add a pic to a post
