I now have a couple Kohler K91 engines that are in need of a redo so I am going to take the best each has to offer and make one good one. These are before and after tear down photos. The coil , points and condenser are new. The block is in very good shape as is the head. The crank and rod in the photo are scored to the point where they will be replaced. I just purchased a third K91 from an older gentleman who bought it 25 years ago and planed on rebuilding it, but never got to it. This engine is complete, gas tank, carb and air cleaner. Trying to get a good K91 for my next RJ.

Nice work as always Motor. Looks like you have a really nice lineup started in the background. :goodpost
I know it's a long way, but are you coming up for the show Motor?

I have to say that it's always a pleasure to see photos from everyone, but Motor has taken this restoration thread over the top hasn't he? Thanks for sharing all the great photos and inspiration. Looks great!

Still working on the Kohler K91 project. The K91 I purchased from a gentleman in New York state arrived a couple days ago. It was built in 1968, the internals are like new so I can use the crank and rod plus the flywheel. The carb is a correct Carter N. Going to rebuild the carb, its in better shape than the one I was going to use. Rebuilding these old Kohlers is all about the chase for parts. I will post photos of the finished motor in a few weeks
