Found a factory grey model tractor didn't catch the # on it I know it was a Garden Tractor with a twin cylinder motor the guy wants 1000.00 then on my way back went a different way found a 857 with no motor and a 500special with motor for sale this guy wasn't home hopefully I can catch him at a later time or he will call me I left my cell number.....anyway can someone give me a little info on the 857 the years made motor size etc also same info on the 500 special ?

Well the 857 is easy....8hp....4 speed.....1967......

That gray one was probably a Work Horse....think it had a Briggs 18hp twin on it.....GT1848

Id have to look up the 500 special.....1968

thanks again Sir much appreciated Im new at the Wheel Horse thing so if I sound dumb it's because I seriously don't know much about them......come to think of it the gray one I seen did say work Horse on the side of it my wife just said she thinks that is right also.

That Work Horse is a Wheel Horse too....some guys really like them....they are a real tractor too!!!!

Yeah probably so .....I do appreciate the help..... LOL I got so excited when I seen the 857 and 500 sitting by the road for sale I yelled out my wife thought I was about to hit something with the car guess it really is a sickness.:bliss

The 500 Special is on the hard to find list! They were used in the 68 Indy 500. :)

The 857 has been growing on me for some time. It is probably one of my favorite models as of right now.
