Louvers are cool too.....

It look that good because it's Urethane, it always looks that good. You'll have to use urethane for the base coat though.

Oh...still looks good....I was reading about it on their website and it mentioned it was developed for urethane but would cover anything....probably my mistake....how about the louvers cut into the hood though????

I keep reading about this stuff....guys use it a lot in the bike forums to coat gas tanks.....and use it over all types of paints.....Rustoleum, Valspar, Duplicolor....say wait a week....use precautions though like a full mask and paper suit.....this stuff can harden in the lungs....get into skin/eyes.......fuel protective coating is why they use it for tanks.....
This is over rustoleum......can't get the image to tag.....arggghhhh.......OK....I'll upload it then.....

Also.....I received this from the guy who is doing the D series resto....the pic in the first post.......
I actually talked to the Rustoleum rep and was told the cure time for Rustoleum rattle can paint is 72 hours. I waited twice that long, and then used 2K Spraymax and it is KILLER!!
I have prior contact with him....he bought some lug bolts from me for his build months ago......
Geno....maybe the Germans figured out how to make this stuff work with all base coats.....IDK....but folks are using it.....

You never know, technology is changing every day with this stuff. Longer term results will tell if it will actually last.
