The Eclipse has begun already. I think it will be complete at 10:11 tonight and last for awhile. If you get a chance go out and take a look, it's a Super moon Eclipse or what they call a Super Eclipse.. The last one like this was 1982 and the next one is 2033.

We got lucky, It was clear here thru well past peak. I got some good shots.
Just beginning.
At peak.
Difficult to get good pic at the peak, Too much movement for the required long exposure.

Thanks Major,
I was shooting my Nikon D2X with a Nikkor 70-210 f2.8 zoom and a Nikkor 2X teleconvertor. Tripod of course.
It was a tough subject. Not much light at the peak and both the earth and the moon are moving. You can see the star tracks. Exposure was 6 seconds, lens wide open and ISO 800+.
But it was quite a show.. I'm just glad we weren't under a cloud cover.

You have some nice equipment there Kurt. Isn't it amazing what it takes and costs to buy what our eyes can see in an instant.
