I change the oil in my RJ and 854 a couple times a year. these tractors don't work they just show off at a couple tractor shows each year. I feel like the low hours can be more harmful than a bunch of hard hours. And it makes me feel better knowing they get good care, and I get to fool around with my machines. Also the old oil goes to my neighbor and he uses it in his lawn mower, says he hates to see good oil go to waste. Call me crazy but its a lot of entertainment for $6.00 bucks...

It's always good to make sure the machines are like new!

Its not a bad idea especially if you use regular oil, the additive package is only good for about 3 months. Synthetics are from 6-12 depending on brand. I have been using synthetics in all my equipment for many years.
The other issue for me (especially with non filter equipment) is that regular oil always has some dirt in it.
