The 1045 is a 1965, the last digit of the model number is the last digit of the year. The tractor was a 65 model in all respects minus the rear fenders, belt guard, and a special engine. As far as the fenders go, they were using up all of the left over parts from the older models which lasted only 3 months, the oil pan was shorter on the engine so it would fit under the hood, and the front of the belt guard design is one of a kind.
