Showing My Girl Some Love For Her Birthday

Bet you thought what on Earth is this doing in the tractor section...

My girl turned 34 today from the day she was bought new. She's never had any work done so I thought it was about time. She got her 4th spark plug, and will be getting a few small upgrades. The trans seals have never been leaking or wet but there is some signs of seeps with some dirt on them over the years so the seals are getting changed. The rock shaft setup is in along with the factory hitch removed and a slot put in it's place to use all the new cool stuff we make. I may also pull the front axles and put some needle and thrust bearings under the front end. There will be a G9 lug kit installed, a new shift boot, new battery, air filter, fluids changed, and a wax job before she goes back to work next week. Best money I ever spent was when I bought this old gal.

This is what every 34 year old (or older) tractor should look like if taken care of properly. If you look at the axle pic below it even still has the factory paint on the axle and overspray going into the hub keyway. Most peeps really don't understand how these tractors would last with a little TLC.

Still a young gal. that will outlive us all.

wow i dont think my 85 looked that good when it was new and on a different note i picked up a 520-h today which will be 'project for me....

Thanks Nappy but yours looked better than that when new, and so did mine. You have any old pics of yours when you got it?

Thanks Bill, I learned the same from my dad.

Had a little time to mostly finish up the back end seals, lug kit, fuel lines, grommet, and shutoff today. I need to do a little pressure washing with the rear fender off to get the stuff that's never been cleaned cleaned up.
