What the heck is this stuff???

My 416-8 blew a rear tire last week and was leaking some brown, rusty liquid, I thought the rim was rusted out due to the amount of nasty, rusty juice flowing out of the tire.
Pulled the tires and this is what I found on both.


Never seen anything like it and believe it or not, they cleaned up with a garden hose!!!

Some kind of fix a flat stuff. I hate it when I'm putting new tires on and get surprised by that stuff and it's happened plenty of times over the years. :doh

There was about half a gallon of this stuff in each wheel, makes me wonder if they had been filled at some point?? :confused2

Some people go crazy with the flat fixing stuff, If they had been filled there should be evidence of it leaking out somewhere. :)
