The chains were tearing up my drive way :angry So I had to give them a shot. They are not as good as the standard chains but still help a ton and my driveway doesn't suffer.

I've had the same problem with my paved driveway. I had a plow on my Ford 660 with wheel weights and chains. It did a good job, but really tore up my drive. That's why I switched to a blower on my 520H's. Last winter things were better with the 520H with a blower, but I still tore up the drive a bit. I'll check out some rubber chains, maybe put a set on one 520H to prove them out.

Those are my custom Stainless Steel weights. They actually go further into the wheel. I didn't want them to stick out pass the tire, so I made those with my dad here in the shop on the lathe.
I've got some pictures of the process.. I will see if I can find them.
