If the weather is not wet Monday, this is what is going to be sand blasted. Then I can start the body work, filling holes, fixing dents and repairing cracks. All the small parts have been cleaned and painted along with the steering wheel I repaired using epoxy and micro balloons. I'll get a picture of the steering wheel after it is dry.

Here are a couple of steering wheel before & after pictures. I restored it to look almost new, but not over done.

Micro balloons are a light weight filler designed to be mixed with a two part epoxy. I use a 15 min epoxy that can be purchased at any hobby shop or hardware store. The micro balloons are made of Soda lime borosilicate glass and need to be used per the instructions. What they do when mixed with epoxy is allow the epoxy to flow into cracks where bono may not go. Also they allow for easier sanding of the dried epoxy. In other words it gives the epoxy more body. The micro balloons I am using I purchased from our local hobby shop. Hope this helps

My sand blast guy started bustin rust and paint about 0800 hrs and called me a couple hours later to pick up the parts . I got the parts home and primed right away. We have rain moving in tonight and I did not want the humid air to rust the bare metal. Now I can start the body work, the greasy stuff is done, thankfully.

Spent a day and a half on the hood, I had 13 holes to weld up and a bunch of cracks around the gas tank fill hole. Had to make a new tank strap and weld in also the bottom attach point was cracked and rusted, had to add new metal in this area. Lots of small dents that take time to fill and sand then fill and sand some more. It looks bad now but once painted it should look ok.
