Wiring is one of my favorite things to do, but it's sure not as fun when replacing existing building stuff like this.
Anybody know where these wires go? :rolling

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.
I can't see the forest for the trees.

i know where they go.
hard part sometimes is finding out where they come from.
i really like that multi-purpose jack you got in the picture.
square D panel, with copper bus? if so good choice.
local code by me is 100% conduit leaving the panel
thin wall for distribution runs, rigid for incoming feed.
makes panel change outs tricky but not as bad if you know some tricks.

Good point John. I finally found out where they all come from.
I have a bunch of those jacks, they are supposed to be exhaust system jacks for under the racks but I use them for everything.
The box is Siemens with a copper buss. I wet with them because if you use their breakers they warranty the box and buss bar for life, and that's where the last problems showed up. Plus I like that I'll never have to remove the box again, the buss bar comes out from the front, unlike the last one...
Just waiting on a few new breakers and the 100 amp wire to run for the new compressor setup.

Thanks John. I keep that stuff around only in a different brand.
I wish I only had some hot spots in the old box so I could have fixed it but by the time it showed up it was too far gone.

Got the new wire for the air compressors, another small panel, and new breakers for both panels in yesterday. Gonna run the new wire to the other side of the shop to another small panel for the compressors and an outlet for the electronic tank drains so all the compressor stuff is on its own panel.
This should be fun, anybody wanna help? :rolling
