a little more work done this week-end

put back the insides of the H70 with new seals, bushings, valve guides.. sorry no pics of motor yet of it.
put some more parts under primer and sanding

the frame is going on the bench Tuesday
its needs some welding, sand blasting & RUSTOLEUM
the trans will be opened up and ???? & RUSTOLEUM

well its coming along just like spring.....

but that is just a sneak peak at the official "" RUSTOLEUM POST"" (aka shameless attempt at site sponsorship & discount coupons)
right now its top secret but legal and marketing need to review it, before release to the public.

[size=3]Made a little progress today but also made a few U-turns also.
got the trans and frame separated, the trans held no surprises from the out side all shafts feel good,
but it will get opened up cleaned out and inspected with new seals as a minimum.

the plate that mounts the trans to frame is gone i knew it was bad but not this bad,
that smoke you smell is me thinking, or maybe the grinding from cutting it off.


the frame rails of the tractor is 2x2x1/4 angle i am thinking of notching a couple pieces and cropping them in
as a replacement for the bracket




i am planing a separate write up for this repair fab-up as i do it, might even get a measured pdf out of it.

U-turn was the steering wheel, the steering wheel its self is poor shape and at best needs to be drilled out to be removed, and the lock collar was locked and not coming off.
So Mr Sawz-all come out now i got 3 in place of 1, But i will be cheating and going back with stainless .


but every thing else that came off the frame looked good.
so all in all full steam ahead.

Dismantling these older tractors can be lotsa fun, you never know what you will find. Looks like you have a few challenges ahead. The good thing is, its all repairable or replaceable. I always love watching someone else's projects to see how they fix the problems. I always learn something I can use on a future tractor.
