I always love watching someone else's projects to see how they fix the problems. I always learn something I can use on a future tractor.

time for a update on the progress
if you all remember it had a destroyed mounting plate
well this is the reworked redesign
the frame rails on the tractor are 2 x2 x 1/4 angle
with that in mind i made up brackets out of the same stock
and cropped them in at a 90* return and added a gusset on the side
along with a spreader at its base.
a full more detailed write will follow with measurements.
this makes the last batch of stuff to get under primer
with that being said, when i did the front axle i had just put fresh black beauty in the blaster
and it came out shining making me think CHROME
has anyone ever seen the front end chromed?
but getting back to real life
i was going to get the trans opened up, cleaned up and such today
this is what i started with
but this next picture is what i ended up with today
the pin is out and i will leave it at that.
sneak peak at whats next

Chrome....you know they have a powder coating that looks almost like chrome......anyway.....lookin' good. Those pins can be a bugger......hitch pins, steering wheels, and hubs......worst part of a tear down.
That frame looks really rigid now.....
